nuu space game
NUU is to be a (massive) multiplayer game of space trade and combat.
It's not finished yet and probably will stay that way for a long time ;)
History / Pointers
NUU is heavily inspired by Ambrosia Software's Escape Velocity. Still worth it's money.
It's excellent open-source clone naev currently lends NUU it's assets. It's a very nice singleplayer game packed with weeks of fun and it is still being extended and improved.
gear0x is, in a nutshell, a bootdisk ready for expansion based on debian and the Linux kernel.
Heavily inspired by The Core Project and the sum of my frustration, essentially :)
It's menu-driven, but allows you to drop to a comfy' tmux/bash if you ever feel the need.
In it's current state the minimum OS enables you to:
Boot various Linux systems
Install debian via debootstrap (with optional luks)
Rapidly integrate tools using squashfs overlays
usplash is a tiny dynamic menu application for the Linux command-line.
It was written specifically for gear0x's splash-screen menu and is meant as a script-supported init process.
When you run usplash in menu mode (-m) the main-screen will pop up instantly, now you can add menu items and scripts they should execute.
Opposed to dialog and other menu systems for the command-line, usplash can be changed at runtime; meaning that background-processes can add and update entries in the menu, or even trigger actions and select entries.
nodeJS extension utilizing upscaledb to store JSON-documents including a tag-index.
Can be used a common Key-value-store.
This is a synchronous API, no threading - nothing.
Also, consider this experimental, loosely tested, slow and sloppy, test it well before you use it. And of course - share your patches!!!11elf
